A week ago a mountain side above West Kelowna caught fire and forced upwards of 2,500 people from their homes. It was certainly a traumatic event for those involved, but for the rest of us, it added a little excitement to our days. (leaving aside the question of why we build single family homes on dry, fire prone mountain sides)
And apparently this is only early in the season.
