Through a garden gate,

Though I liked the gate post in this image, it was the swirls of colour beyond that added
just that something extra.

Spring 'Bokeh'

I like this image of a blooming Magnolia tree, with the fore and aft branches out of focus
while the magnolia's themselves remain in focus.

In the next while I thought I would post a series of images entitled,
Playing with 'Bokeh'.

It is an odd word, from Japanese I think, but most photographers know what it means.
'Bokeh' is really about the out of focus character of an image. Instead of trying to get as much
in focus as possible, I try to plan as much about what is in focus and what isn't.

One of my favorite events of the year,
The Chinese New Year parade.
And for me,
people coming together
is the high light.
