We have just left the exposed west coast of Kunghit Island in Gwaii Haanas,
heading north,
and laid out on the port side...
is Anthony Island and it's series of protective islets.

I could not help thinking of Hawaii and Polynesia
and imagining ocean going canoes traveling thousands of leagues
linking scattered groups of peoples...

And in so many isolated places,
great rich cultures grew and prospered...
