Sometimes I feel
we are but a blip,
in our world.

Two days ago was the 148th birthday
of an often ignored,
sometimes confused,
sometimes boring,
but pretty wonderful place.
Canada.

I find the flag waving,
and the over the top patriotism a bit much.  
But hanging out with other people,
just hanging out,
just makes it for me.

Perhaps we should celebrate the other 364 days,
as we do this day.
