Lynn Canyon revisited...
A few more images of this very special,
ever changing place...
A world of green...
Until I moved to North Vancouver I don't think I really understood the power of the colour green and how it dominates the light here. Every other shade is touched by it, and, as we move further along the gradual spring progression, every other hue moves with it.
The First Peoples of the North have hundreds of words for snow,
Perhaps we should follow with hundreds of words for,
growing things...

Can you believe this Cathedral is in the lower mainland of British Columbia?
These images were taken at Westminster Abbey just outside Mission on the north arm of the Fraser River. The Abbey and grounds are on hill over looking the Fraser River flat lands with the mountains rising behind it.

And now something completely different...
Children are amazing,
they are unfiltered,
curious and observant,
Often the way that we adults are not...
I love photographing children and older people,
maybe because at both ends of our lives,
We are like children...
unfiltered, curious and observant...
These were taken 2 weeks ago when I organized a Granville Island Market Photo walk with our 'Meetup Group, Vancouver Photo Walks'

In the last few months I have been spending some time exploring under and around train bridges. That, of course, could be taken many different ways...
However, there is a certain magic in there utilitarian nature and their gradual aging process...

These images were shot just a few days ago compared to the images in the last post which were shot 2 weeks ago. It is amazing the difference in colour and shading each week makes as spring progresses through it's eternal cycles...
These images were shot in the forests that surround the beautiful grounds of Westminister Abbey just outside of Mission, British Columbia.

Week by week,
Spring advances through it's eternal cycle...
And,
Week by week, the forest greenery advances through it's life cycle...
In last week's post, the forest was in early stages of budding, the earth tones and grey's of winter still held sway,
This week, the leaves are out and have that brilliant yellow/ green hue of new growth,
Next week...
Images taken along lower Lynn Creek as it slows down before emptying out into Burrard Inlet and the ocean. The bridge is the Mountain Highway/ Lynn Creek crossing in North Vancouver.
