I love street parades...
Two weeks ago was Chinese New Year,
which is ended by one of the best parades of the year...
But truly the best part of street parades,

is the people watching them...
And in the end,
we are like children... enthralled in the presence of others

Winter in Vancouver is not like winter in most of the rest of Canada...
Generally it comes in a thousand shads of grey, but,
when the sun peaks through...

God smiles and every thing you should be doing can wait...

Vancouver is home.. but it is an odd place. It is very often gray, shrouded in damp heavy mist and cold in a way that anyone from the UK would understand. But when the sun comes out... OMG!... all is forgotten...
The best description of this place is by my partner who several years ago described Vancouver as a mistress; weeks of grey heaviness, and just as you are about to lose interest and move on, the sun comes out and she bears her bum, and you can't leave...
